Blog #10

I can definitely say that one thing I found interesting when reading my classmates blogs were that they either wrote a lot of the same things that I did or whatever they did say I was in agreence with. I can not think of one blog where I did not agree with something someone said, which I found to be pretty cool. One skill that I actually would like to learn more about would be about the second powerpoint assignment. I was very interested as to how we made it into a "Who wants to be a millionare" game and would love to do another thing like that.
I feel like I will be able to achieve more in my educational career by remember not one but all of the techniques we have learned so far and applying them in all of my future teaching jobs!

There are actually two resources that I found very interesting and that I know for sure I will be able to use when I become a teacher. The first being powerpoint, I love being creative and teaching people things in a fun and definitely non-boring way. By using powerpoint presentations in teaching I feel like will grab the students attention and make it more personable.
Secondly, I had never done any work in the excel program and to be honest I was a little confused last class but by the end of the class period I actually understood what I was doing. Depending upon what grade I teach I feel like the excel program would be very helpful.
I can't think of a brand new skill I would like to learn but I do know that I would definitely be interested in learning more about the mircosoft excel program.
Some ways that I might achieve my future educational technology-related goals would be by possibly taking a different computer course or even learning news things from future teachers and my peers.

Blog #8

After reading the very first line in this chapter I was already drawn into a new subject, one in which I didn't know a lot about. This sentence reading that computer security risk is any event or action that has potential of causinga loss of computer equipment, software, data and information, or processing capability. Some different security issues are as follows, biometric devices and firewalls, this protecting against software and information theft as well as total system failure. Lastly, in the chapter I learned that computer ethics are the moral guidelines that govern the use of computers, networks and information systems.
Since our last blog posting I learned more about making powerpoint presentations. I wasn't even aware that you could make powerpoints into a game, I had so much fun with that and I know that I will be able to use it in the future with my students.
Well as far as my life goes, I'm going home this weekend and I am super excited about it and I going to the rascal flatts concert so I just can'teven wait!!
