Within chapter 2 i obviously learned a lot about the internet, how it works and the different things the it can provide. The internet is rooted in one of the U.s. Department of Defense's
"Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA). Something else that I learned was was that the internet works together to transfer data all around the world. Web pages are another big part of of the internet, they can contain text, graphics, video and sound. one fact that really struck me in this chapteris when it said at the end that within a few years the Web will operate at speeds 10,000 times faster than today. This is really incredible to me seeing as there are already up to fast paces.
Skills that I have aquired since our last posting definitely are having to do with the charts that we made last class. I had never made a chart like that before let alone seen one and not only did I learn a lot from making them but I also had a lot of fun!
I am very excited to see the new things we are going to be learning about the internet and everything having to do with it.

I was also really surprised at the news of just how fast the internet will grow to be. The internet isn't entirely concrete. It's actually pretty abstract so it's hard for me to imagine something you can't really touch to expand to such a great size within such a limited amount of time.
